I know I've posted this picture before, but I just can't get enough of it. Ava, on the left, is sleeping so peacefully, while Lola, on the right, is begging for attention.
This picture describes their personalities pretty well. Lola is the dominant one, the leader, the bossy and opinionated one. Ava is the independent one, the peacemaker. Ava will just lay down and take a nap if she thinks she needs one. She'll go get herself dressed without saying anything. Whereas, Lola will bring me a dress and ask me to put it on her. Lola is very talkative and Ava is more shy and reserved. Ryan thinks Lola takes after him, and Ava after me.
I love how different my girls are. And they want to be different, but equal. They always make sure everything is equal. I can remember thinking they are too young to be saying, "divide it up" (more like, "dibide it up"). Ava lets Lola have the pink thing and she'll always take what's left. Lola is a sweetheart, though. She'll cuddle with you. Lola's also aware of your feelings, and gets concerned for people, animals, and things. Sometimes, I think Ava is pretty oblivious to feelings. Lola will ask if you are sad or mad or frustrated. She gets frustrated A LOT, so I think she relates. Ava is pretty carefree and Lola is pretty picky and wants things a certain way.
They ALWAYS look out for each other. They'll always take two, if the other isn't around, and always make sure there's enough for their sister. They fight, but they love and need each other. They balance each other out. They are awesome. I'm so lucky.

I love it! That is exactly how my mom and aunt are. My husband and his twin sister are a little that way. And you can post the pic as many times as you want. It's adorable!
awe, i love this post.
I've always thought it would be so cool to have a twin! Lucky girls!
Wonderful post. Lucky girls, lucky Mom and Dad.
you are very lucky because we just love those girls too! this was so cute!
"They'll always take two, if the other isn't around" -- coolest thing ever. Your girls sound awesome. I love this post! Also, Bryant and I are pretty jealous of your new digs. I want to live down the road from a beach in California too. :)
