I've made it to 37 1/2 weeks and I have no complaints about the actual pregnancy. In fact, compared to having twins, this is a breeze so far. But as the end is approaching things are falling apart, or should I say I'm falling apart. I'll just mention a few items of discomfort that I am experiencing or have experienced. Nausea, heart burn, a UTI, constipation, Braxton Hicks, optical migraines (only had about 6 of those), back pain, round ligament pain, awesome stretch marks, two hernias, acne, charlie horses, pelvic pressure so bad that I can't lift my legs up to put pants on, a separated rib, and most recently swollen feet and ankles.
As I sit here eating spoonfuls of peanut butter, I am realizing that I haven't had any cravings like I did last time. I wanted Subway a lot a few months ago, but I think that was just an excuse and not a craving. Nothing like last time when I wanted to eat a box of chalk...Not kidding.
I have actually enjoyed having this baby inside keeping me company while the girls were at school. I think all these crappy things might be worth the outcome. Ask me in a few months.

Man pregnancy sucks. Can't wait to see your new baby girl though pretty soon!
You are awesome. You look awesome. And it is all worth it. You haven't had it easy....with one baby inside or two. I'm glad it's nearing the end. Excited to meet the baby!! -meg
I love an honest summary of pregnancy. It's weird how one woman can experience different symptoms from pregnancy to pregnancy, but the bottom line is pregnancy is NOT a cake walk. Those who say they loved being pregnant must have forgotten the details or are delusional! I can't wait for both our pregnancies to come to and end! Thanks for this post...it's refreshing. Maybe I should list my "12 days of pregnancy complaints" too:)
After reading this post I do not know why women have more than one baby ever!! I remember... but choose to forget. Love you Liesl!!!
Oh, poor Liesl. :( I'm starting to get there too. My right foot and ankle are swelling, I can't tie shoes anymore, and it IS hard to step into pants. We hope to see you guys sometime soon. We love you!
Liesl you should be on SAT LIVE!
Oh the discomforts of pregnancy. . . At least you look great! Hope you can make it through the final stretch - maybe you can have your baby on Sunday (my birthday) - that would be fun! I love all your pictures! Your girls are so cute! Can't wait for more updates and pictures of baby girl!
