About 18 months ago we took the girls in to get pictures taken of them in their blessing dresses. I've always regretted forgetting to bring the blessing blankets that my mom spent hours and hours making. My mom has made a blanket for each of her kids to use for all of their babies. So when she found out I was having twins, I'm sure this is what she was thinking, "oh crap". She claims she never uses that word but you know that's what she was thinking because those blankets take so long to make. Anyway, I was looking at a friend's blog and she recently blessed her babies and took pictures of them laying on their white blankets. I thought about putting the girls' blessing dresses back on them to take a photo but I figured they might be a little small. So I put these dresses on them and took some pictures of them holding their blessing blankets. I didn't have very creative ideas to display the blankets but I thought these were cute. Thanks Mom for making me two blankets.
I should also mention that Ryan's mom so graciously made TWO blessing dresses.

Not that I know your Mom all that well or anything but from the few times I've met her, I can't imagine her saying "Oh, crap" either.
Cute dresses and those blankets are a lot of work!

So I have a story almost like yours- my mom also made my twins white blankets for their blessing and I forgot to bring them to the church when they got blessed! Your girls are so cute!
Those blankets are amazing! I love the pearl accents..that must have taken forever! I am guessing you were referring to our blog. Can you believe that a woman in our ward that I hardly know made those for the girls? I was shocked...it was so nice of her and they are so beautiful.
Anyway it was fun to see your girls when they were little babies...so beautiful and SO ADORABLE now.
