The girls can now open doors. It always happens when I am in the shower. I found the two of them in the office (one of the only forbidden rooms) and they were surfing the internet. On another occasion, I found them in the band room (the only other forbidden room) and they were practicing the drums. I'm going to have to start locking doors.
At 4 am Ava woke up saying "mama mama mama mama mama", then "hold you hold you hold you", then "dangit, dangit, dangit, dangit". What am I teaching these kids?
One day I was driving in the car and had Lola and Ava in the back seat, of course. I was eating pretzels or crackers (something that I brought for the girls), I said "Man, I am such a pig!". The girls started saying "oink oink oink". I said "thanks a lot, girls."

Super cute hats! And that's hilarious about the "oink oink" and "dangit" comments--it seems like kids just hone in on the things we don't want them to repeat!
Cute pics, so funny that they oinked at you! If Dangit is the worst word they learn from you, then you are doing pretty good.
When I was two I returned home after I stayed with my Aunt and told my Mom, "Uncle Phil says, d**nit, d**nit, d**nit" over and over again. So she asked my Uncle about it and he said he did swear at me b/c I opened the car door while they were driving on the freeway. I'm sure back then I wasn't even in a seat belt.
Awesome stories. The hat pictures are cute and it's a little hard to tell them apart. The first three look like Ava lips and the last picture looks like Lola. The second pic looks like Lola but when I look close I think I see Ava's lips. They are growing and changing! I'm so excited to see you this week!!!!!!!!
Stacy, your story is awesome. I love it.
Jana, you are right. the first three are Ava and the last is Lola. I'm impressed.
Liesl I love your blog it is so hilarious! It makes me want to have twins!
I wonder, do you label the pictures with the girls' names? Will you be able to remember which picture is of which girl 10 years from now or 20 when they want them for weddings and such? Or can you tell them apart really well even in pictures?
They are so cute! I love how much they like putting on hats and shoes that are too big! They were cracking me up this weekend.
for the most part we can tell them apart. and no we don't label them. yes we should. haha
We passed the door opening stage too...I was thinking maybe I could raise all the door knobs about 3 feet higher...sigh!
