40 weeks exactly
Waiting to get induced
Still waiting. I think I'm immune to pitocin because nothing was happening for hours and hours. I thought about making a run for it. Finally, the doctor broke my water and things started progressing. I pushed for an hour and a half; apologizing the whole time for taking so long. My epidural stopped working halfway through. I was about ready to call it quits, but there's not much I could do at that point. I think it cured me of wanting any future kids.

My Mother-in-law was so sweet to come out and help for two weeks. She did dishes and laundry and sewing and cleaning and babysitting and cooking for two weeks straight while we waited for the baby to come. Well, the baby wasn't coming, so I got induced on her last day...she got to see the baby for about 45 minutes. We cut that a little close.
Ryan has been awesome through this whole thing. He was able to take some time off work and has changed more diapers than me so far (I'm catching up quick though).
As soon as I reported to my parents that Kit was here they got in the car and drove 12+ hours. They stayed with the girls so Ryan could stay with me in the hospital. It was so good to be with my Mom on Mother's day....briefly.

Beautiful story and beautiful Kit. Jana was more calm waiting for Kit than I was. I kept asking "have you heard anything?". We all are so happy to see the Ninth Anderson line of girl cousins.

Congrats Liesl! Your story sounds similar to what happened to me last time. Induced, nothing happened for forever until they broke my water, and my epidural also didn't work! And I am definitely cured from wanting more kids!!! Anyway, I hope all is well with the baby. I love her name and she is so pretty!
