This isn't Lola and Ava's first carousel ride, but it IS their first carousel ride without crying. It takes a lot to convince the girls to do anything that looks scary to them. For example, we go to the petting zoo ALL the time and they always say they want to ride the ponies, only they chicken out right when I'm lifting them onto a pony. They make me look like a pushy mom, like I'm forcing them to go on the ride. Well, they rode the carousel and didn't want to get off...so they got to ride it twice.

I remember when mine were afraid of carousels. Now we can't go to the mall without riding it!

Maybe they will ride the real ponies now. Just tell them it's just like the carousel ;)

just wondering if Lola chose the rooster or if you just put them on the closest empty seat?
So fun! It's pretty neat how kids will eventually try things that they absolutely refused to before...I think Clara would initially be pretty freaked out by the carousel, too!
Oh, they picked out what they wanted to ride on. Lola really wanted the "chicken" and Ava claimed the cat. haha.
i understand their fear of carousels. one time a carousel killed me... not fun.
