Mistaken Foods

On two separate occasions, (Brent and Lori happened to be eating with us both times), the girls got confused about what we were having for dinner. The first time we were having breakfast for dinner and the girls saw the plate of sausage patties and said "COOKIES, COOKIES". We were all laughing and told the girls that they were meat-cookies. The second time, I had made some rolls from frozen dough balls. They didn't rise very much so they were pretty dense and small. Well, the girls took one look at the rolls and said "EGGS, EGGS!!". I guess it was just so funny because it was so true. The sausages did look like cookies and the rolls did look like eggs.

(In this picture Lola kind of has a black eye...the keyboard fell on her face. And Ava looks a little homeless because she never lets me pull her hair up anymore)

OK, the description "meat-cookie" sounds really gross. What did they think when they actually tasted them?

they were actually vegetarian sausages (believe it or not), but they liked them. I think they figured out pretty quickly that they weren't cookies.
