My life is divided up into two parts: BABIES.... and .... WHAT I CAN CRAM IN WHILE THE BABIES ARE ASLEEP. So, lately I've been obsessed with sewing cute things...mostly for the babies.... My sister Jana found the most adorable hand-made shirts for toddlers. we copied the pattern and now it is my mission to find cute fabric to make these shirts out of. I've already made two (I'll show a picture of them). I also got ambitious and made the girls' Easter dresses. Megan helped me pick out the fabric and pattern, my mother-in-law helped me cut the dresses out and explained how to read a pattern, and then my mom is going to do the buttons for me (she might not know that yet). Well, I just finished both dresses last night. They turned out really cute as you can see but we'll see how they look ON the girls. The other thing that I enjoy doing while the babies are sleeping is making yummy treats. If I don't already have something sweet in the house, I have to make it then. Some people bake because they enjoy baking but I only bake if I'm hungry. That could explain why I never let things cool down and I'm always messing up recipes because of my lack of patience. So next time I make something worth mentioning I'll include the recipe. And the last thing that I've been keeping myself busy with is selling my stuff on the internet. I've been successfully posting and selling all kinds of things on craigslist and ksl. It is very rewarding because it lets me declutter and make money.

Good job on the dresses. I am surprised that you didn't gather the bottom strip of fabric. I want to see a picture of the girls wearing them.
I love the dresses too! So cute! Nice job Liesl.
OK Liesl,
These are adorable! So did this smock have buttons on the top or is it just sewed together?
I LOVE the dresses...which pattern did you use? That's the same one you used for the shirts you made lately right (as I remember you just changed the sleeves?)
O.K. and one more question...I want to make some more socks like the ones you gave me...do you have easy instructions anywhere?
and P.S. that is seriously what my life consists of "What can I cram in while the babes are asleep"! You said it perfectly!
Sorry to leave you a small book of a post...you just got me very creatively excited!
