Random Quotes by Lola and Ava

The girls have been singing the primary song "I love mommy, She loves me" in nursery every sunday. Today I was singing it with them and this is how they sang it: "I love mommy she loves me, we love daddy yesterday." (Instead of "yes sir-ee")

The girls obviously know the word "bicycle" and they just found out about motorcycles. Whenever they see a motorcycle they always say "motorbicycle".

Ryan was helping Lola say her prayers last night before bed and Lola decided to add her own thoughts: "Thanks for abc's.

So, I just thought of a few more things to add this this post. Lola and Ava are starting to find excuses for not taking a nap or going to bed. Lola's favorite excuse is "I need food". It worked one time because I didn't want to send her to bed hungry, so she thinks she can get away with it every night now. Ava's excuse has always been "baba baba" and now it's "I wanna watch Pirates". (They are obsessed with Pirates of The Caribbean...Ryan's fault)

Baby Cora is here!!

Megan went into labor Sunday afternoon and had the baby by 8 pm, Cora was 8 pounds even and was 19 1/2 inches long. When she got to the hospital she was expecting to get an epidural, but to make a long story short, she did the whole thing natural and I can't believe it. (She had a low blood platelet level.) Good job Megan and Happy Birthday Cora.

Too much info about me

Ryan H. let me and Megan off the hook on this tag because he thought we already did it, but I actually haven't done this one. I decided to do it because a different friend tagged me a while ago but I didn't do it because it was too hard. I can't remember what I did 10 years ago let alone what I did an hour ago. Sorry Janel. If you didn't understand a word of what I wrote above just disregard it.

Aprons

With a collaboration of a few people's ideas I finished these little aprons last night. I borrowed the pattern from a friend and Megan had a couple easy ways to sew the straps on. Megan made a really cute one too. So, here are the pictures of the girls wearing their new aprons. They cried when I made them take them off. In the last picture, Lola is putting hers to good use...Milk in one pocket and cereal in the other.

Sleepy

This video is mostly of Ava falling asleep while eating dinner. Listen for Lola sitting next to her laughing. This video is a little over 2 minutes so if you think it's never going to end....just be prepared for a long video.

A Girly Summer

From sticker tattoos and toenail polish, to makeup and plastic food teaparties, I would say that we've had a pretty girly summer.

A Few Short Stories

The other day when I was pushing the girls on our daily stroll to the mailbox (a half a mile down the street) Lola was being a total bully to Ava because she was sitting in back. Lola was pressing her feet up against the back of Ava's seat and bouncing her legs just so it irritated Ava to no end. She then starting pulling wads of hair out from Ava's head. I said "when we get home, Lola, you are going straight to time-out". That didn't stop her....she continued to bounce Ava's chair and Ava actually started laughing along with Lola. I had the hardest time NOT laughing. (That's besides the point though.) When we got home I let Ava go play on the swing set and as I carried Lola to time-out she said, "what goin' on?". She memorizes phrases that we say and I am amazed that she can think of them when she wants to spit them out.

I was at Costco yesterday and the girls started chanting "diarrhea, diarrhea". People probably wondered what I've been teaching my kids.

This story is compliments of Brent. Lola was on the couch watching a new favorite show "Ratatouille". Brent was trying to talk to her but she didn't acknowledge him because she was too into her show. A little while later Lola turns to look at Brent and whispers "Ratatouille". Brent tells that story better.

Still Sleeping

Here it is 8:52 am and BOTH Lola and Ava are still sleeping. I don't know what to do with myself because, without fail for the last two years, if one baby sleeps in the other will wake up. THIS NEVER HAPPENS. I just slept until 8:30 and was woken up, not by the babies, but by the door bell. (The guys who poured our patio came to seal it today.) Well, I just had to write down my small miracle that happened this morning.

Swings

Ryan took these pictures with our little dinky camera and they turned out not too bad. I like the one right below where Lola is throwing her toys into the grass and there is a care bear in mid air.

Rodeo

We went to the Lehi Roundup Rodeo a few weeks ago and I just got pictures available to me. We had so much fun and I think the girls had fun too...although Lola fell asleep a half hour into it. I wish we could take credit for the awesome pictures below but Ryan's friend took them that night. You can see more here. I can't believe those cowboys.

Twins Twins

My sisters have been begging me to find the picture of us three sisters dressed in our "grapes" doing our "twins" dance. Jana made up this dance where we all came out singing "TWINS, TWINS" and then we would lift Megan up in the air. I don't know why we didn't figure out, or no one had the heart to tell us, that there were THREE of us.

I decided to put up another awesome picture of us three girls at Grandma Anderson's house. I love my huge band aide on my arm and my cabbage patch shoes, Megan picking her nose with a shoelace, and Jana wearing her Sleeping Beauty shirt that she won from a coloring contest. Everything about these two photos makes me laugh.

4th of July

We spent the 4th this year with tons of family, food, fireworks and fun. (I know that sentence is super corny...but it's true.) Here are the highlights. Ryan H. put on a firework show for us complete with flowers, spinning eyeballs, and illegal bottle rockets. The girls got pretty into the fireworks. My favorite picture is Lola throwing a "pop-it" in mid-air. I also loved how Ava is giving everyone head massages...She learned that from me and Lori. The choreographed dance that Lori and I put on was pretty awesome (just kidding), and the last picture is the flag cheesecake that I make every 4th of July.

Three Weeks with Jana

My sister went home today after her three week stay here with us. I didn't think I would be this depressed. I just lost my babysitter, maid, cook, jogging partner, and the only person that will watch "The Bachelorette" with me. No wonder I'm depressed. She was probably excited to go home though. We had so much fun and it was awesome to get the sisters together again. Here are some pictures that sum up Jana's trip to Utah.
