How do you NOT get mad at your kid when they spill hot chocolate on their freshly washed tights a few minutes before school? (Not only did she do that, but then after we took her tights off she spilled the rest of her hot chocolate on her legs and chair and floor.)
But, if you do get mad, how do you NOT feel guilty about it later? I know she didn't mean to spill it.

I did a project!

One day while we were on a walk I found this cool rose-pine cone thing. I brought it home and Ryan took this picture of it.

I thought it would be cool to make something with it, so the girls and I started hunting for these cones wherever we went. We collected several containers full and I started gluing them to a wreath foam. The girls enjoyed sorting out the big ones and the little ones.




I'm thinking of something I can add to it to make it more colorful. But I think it looks pretty neat.

First three are Ava, last SIX are Lola. Lola wanted me to take a picture of EVERYTHING, and I just couldn't eliminate anything.

Happy Birthday to Ryan and something special

Not only is today Ryan's 33rd Birthday, but 10 years ago TODAY Ryan asked me to marry him. Time flies. I scraped together some old pictures, but none of them are from 10 years ago. I guess that was before digital cameras. I need to scan some pictures from that time....which are stored at my parents' house. Happy Birthday to Ryan and happy proposal day to us!

I know that this picture below was taken about 6 years ago because I was barely pregnant with the girls.
