Cora's in Town

When Lola and Ava saw Cora for the first time (in several several months) they couldn't stop hugging her and saying, "She can walk!!". They were trying to make her sit down by pulling her feet out from under her.










We had so much fun while Megan and Cora were in town...can't wait for the next visit.

More random quotes

Lola woke up from her nap and I said excitedly, "You're not cranky!!!". She said "Well, I'm a little grouchy but not too bad."

The girls are really into insults lately. I'm not bragging it's just shocking when some of the things that come out of their mouths are: "you little pig dropping" and "you little creep". ...(and I thought the movie "Annie" was harmless.)

Lola, more so than Ava, says "What the heck?".

Whenever we can't find something the girls say, "We probably gave it to baby Cora". I don't know why Cora would want some of the things the girls think we gave to her.

We were at the mall and Ava looked in a mirrored shelf and started laughing hysterically. She was basically playing peek-a-boo with herself in the mirror but she thought it was Lola. She continued to laugh and laugh until I asked her who she saw. she said "Lola". I showed her that Lola was standing right next to her. She was actually a little embarrassed. I guess since she can't even tell her self apart from her sister I don't feel too bad.

"I'm an aardvark, I'm an aardvark....". --Lola

We were having dinner with my family, including my brother and sister-in-law that we haven't seen in a while, and Ava said, "This little kid has to poo".

Halloween

I figured that this could be the last year that I get to pick the girl's Halloween costumes, so I dressed them up as cowgirls. After fretting about not being able to get their costumes out of the pod in time (since we hadn't moved in yet) I threw together these costumes. They turned out just about as cute as the original idea. I should have known that my parents never throw anything away and that they were still hanging on to these old hats.






We had such a fun time with my old neighbor trick-or-treating in our old neighborhood.

Fall

This was our "in between houses" time. Our stay at my parent's house went from what we thought was going to be a week to a full month. The process took a lot longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. I had fun taking the girls to the park nearby (while living at my parent's) and enjoying the fall leaves. The girls have now jumped in leaves at both grandparent's houses and our new house.

Last few moments

I have so much to say. We have finally moved into our new/old house in Provo and we finally have internet access on the right computer. I wanted to post things in the right order so here I am finally adding pictures that are a month overdue. Here are a few shots from the move, our last night in our house, and us picking pumpkins in our backyard.

We had so much help from our neighbors and family that the move was a piece of cake...ok, it was for me because I didn't lift anything....(I did pack everything though). We had everything in the pod in no time. We packed the girls up in the this little cabinet.



Our last night in the house was actually kind of fun. We had an air mattress, a laptop and a rubber ball. Watch the video clip below and you'll see how fun it was to have a ball in an empty house. I don't think the girls fully understood what was going on...for breakfast I handed ava a bowl of cereal and she started to walk to where the table used to be. She was genuinely surprised to find no table. She started crying so we found a box to eat on. Then she was happy.

We saved picking our pumpkins until right before we left our house. I was pretty proud of these because they grew from rotten pumpkins thrown out from last year ...and I was happy that there was two of them! Here we are enjoying the last few moments at our old house. We made some great memories at that house. ...I'll never forget the day the girls came home from the hospital. We'll miss it and all our neighbors...but I won't miss those glass double doors that always had fingerprints on them.
