Christmas

The only thing I want to point out, other than what a great Christmas we had with mine and Ryan's family, is that the girls definitely needed new jammies...check out the first couple "before" jammy pictures. Note to self: take more (and better) pictures next year.

Bath Aftermath

As Lola and Ava were cuddling with each other after a bath, I couldn't help but think of how it used to be when they were babies. They used to lay there side by side..no fighting, no talking...just being cute babies. I miss those days. Now Lola can't take a picture without her tongue sticking out.

Snow fort

We have some super cool neighbors that make a snow fort every year. They invited us over, with a few other families, for FHE. In order to enter the cave you have to lay down in a sled and slide in. The girls didn't really know what to think. I think they thought it was neat and weird. Our neighbors are waiting for more snow so they can finish the fort.

Here comes the bride

I promise I had nothing to do with this. Ava put this whole "outfit" together.

We're famous

I know everyone has seen enough "engagement" pictures of us, but I couldn't help myself. One of the other photographers at that workshop in Park City had some photos featured on Ritsy Bee blog. I already said that I felt like a superstar, but now I really feel like one...just kidding.

Should you let your kid have green beans for breakfast?

Ava really really really wanted a can of green beans for breakfast. I tried to explain that beans aren't a breakfast food, but she wouldn't have it. I gave them a bowl of beans with some french toast. I didn't let Lola have the box of brownie mix she wanted for breakfast though.

Santa

At our ward Christmas party the girls met Santa for the first time. They were a little scared, but they mostly wanted to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Ava told Santa that she wanted a turtle she saw at the store. Lola said she wanted a hair dryer like mommy's. When we got home we asked the girls what they thought of Santa...Lola said, "Santa had weird eyes".

Art

The girls are starting to show actual creative artistic abilities. Although Ava thinks that arms and legs grow out of heads, they just might be turning into little artists. Not only do they make play-dough art, but their drawings are pretty great too. Even Lola, being the lefty.

OJ Snow Cones

I'm not sure if you're really supposed to serve snow to kids, but I did....with a little orange juice.
They loved it...and we didn't get sick...but Ryan got mad.

Messes

There is no such thing as a peaceful dinner around here. A huge bottle of salsa tipped over and launched chunks clear across the room, and then Ava fell off her chair holding her plate of food..and this happened all in one dinner. I had both messes halfway cleaned up and I was thinking about how sick I was of cleaning up messes like this....that's when I decided to take a picture.
