Kit at 13 months:
Kit loves waving and clapping.
She likes to copy laugh.
When she's doing something wrong and I walk into the room she always throws the thing she's playing with and gives me an innocent look.
She loves the finger puppets we have. She never gets sick of them. She always wants me to open the bag they are in and then she gets them all out and puts them back in. Then she'll put one on her finger and wiggle her finger.
She doesn't throw a lot of food over her tray onto the floor, but she sneaks food underneath the tray and sticks it under her legs.
She is in love with blankets and anything soft. She will cuddle with laundry dirty or clean. She'll steal her sister's blankets and stuffed animals. When I go in after her naps she tries to quickly grab as many blankets she can to take with her. She even snuggles with those board books that have a patch of soft fabric to touch.
She is too scared to walk...or too lazy. I think she could do it, she stands up all the time.
She's becoming a great sleeper at night. she sleeps twelve hours! Naps are hit and miss, but even when she misses one she's not cranky.
She always likes to try new food.
She likes to bob around when Ryan's playing guitar.
She loves riding in the stroller and the baby bike seat to pick up and drop off her sisters to school.
She loves coping anything I do. She wipes the floor, and she can "brush" her hair, or put my phone to her ear.
She says "bah bah", "mama", 'dada", "chickie", she says "uh oh".
Ryan swears she said "bottle".
She does the sign for 'more'.
She loves to clean up. When the markers are spilled she puts them away one by one. She wants everything in the right container.
Kit at 15 month:
"SSSHHH"
She's obsessed with blowing on her food whether it's hot or not.
Kit at 17 months:
She says "TA-DA" when she does something that she thinks is pretty cool. She balanced some toy rings on the top of a water bottle and yelled "taaa-daaa" until I looked.
She can repeat anything you ask her to say now, and it slightly resembles what you were trying to get her to say.
She LOOOOOOVes animals. We went to a farm to pick pumpkins last weekend and she kept trying to get out of my arms and run back to the bunnies and sheep. She makes all the animal noises....with being prompted. She loves to looks at dogs at the park, but if they get to close she freaks out.
Kit at 18 months:
Calls herself Chi Chi (Kiki)
She hates nursery! The first two weeks she cried the whole time until she fell asleep in a teacher's arms. Now Ryan stays with her every week. He doesn't let her sit on his lap so she won't be too attached to him. The other week she actually sat on the rug for singing time!
Kit at 20 months:
She always says, "too tight, too tight" after I put her diaper on.
"Peek-a-Doo"
She calls crackers cookies.
One day I decided to let Kit watch some Elmo videos on the computer while I took a shower. I set her on our computer desk chair with wheels and hopped in the shower. A few minutes later I hear Kit yelling. I didn't get out of the shower right away because I figured the computer went into sleep mode and that's why she's yelling? Just a few more minutes later I heard screaming and since it sounded more serious I ran down the hall dripping wet. I find Kit hanging with her hands to the edge of the desk and somehow gripping her feet to the chair that had rolled away. She was completely horizontal like a bridge that couldn't stretch one more inch. As much as I wanted a picture I decided that it would be better to save her and I think she appreciated that.
Another day, after Kit got out of the bath she wouldn't let me put a diaper on her. I let her run around with just a tank top on. Just a few minutes later, I go into the bathroom and see that there is pee in the kid potty. She had peed without even telling me!! She hasn't done again, but I haven't given her much of a chance. She's been sick!
