Christmas 2008

Christmas was so fun this year with our girls. We had them come down the stairs by themselves so we could video their reaction. You could hear Lola saying, "it's gonna be fu-un". Lola and Ava opened their stockings and they were thrilled when they pulled out a box of band aides. Just seconds after Ava set her band aides aside she got her finger stuck in a package and instantly said, "I need a band aide". I guess you had to be there. The picture was taken on Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa P's. I just had to show off the dresses that Megan made for the girls. I need to get a better shot of their dresses because this doesn't do it justice. Basically all the bad and blurry photos in this bunch were taken by me and all the good ones were taken by Ryan.

Christmas morning in new jammies eating rasins from Santa. Thanks a lot Santa...what a rip off.

They got snow suits from grandma.



This is my favorite picture because it shows Ava having fun on a giant snow ball and Lola in the background who refused to get out of the sled because she was too scared of the snow.
Lola did eventually get out of the sled and she helped build our snowman.

Christmas Family Photo Attempts

Believe it or not, but these are the best of the bunch. The family pictures look like out-takes. I was planning on doing a super cheesy Christmas sweater family photo, but when Ryan refused to put on his green sweater I changed out of my red one. So much for Christmas spirit.

Vegas Trip

So, we took a trip to Vegas leaving our girls for the first time. We decided to accompany Brent and Lori for the Vegas marathon (that kind of makes it sound like Ryan and I ran the marathon, but we decided it was better that we didn't). The first five pictures are just random Vegas shots. The water fountain arch was a favorite and so was the fountain show. I guess I'm a fan of shooting water. The picture of Brent and Lori was taken at the Cheesecake factory on Ryan's Bday (Brent is doing the "Criss Angel pose"). The next couple pictures were taken at the marathon. Congratulations to the random bride and groom that got married while running the marathon (What a great idea...elegant yet time efficient). Brent and Lori did awesome...(it's mind-blowing that anyone could run that far). Finally, we were greeted at home by our two lovely children in pj's with a cake for Ryan. All in all we had an awesome trip using as many people for free things as possible. (We borrowed a car from Ryan's parents, we stayed in Lori's client's house, and we definitely took advantage of the free babysitting.) Thanks to everyone who let us take advantage of you.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving with Ryan's family this year. As you can see we had a very eventful day. The girls had a wonderful time unloading grandma's kitchen, we used Ryan's awesome remote to his camera to take a family photo, and what's a Thanksgiving without lime jello and carrots?
